Thurkettle’s tightly constructed stories are bursting at the seams…no single theme could contain, much less exhaust, the philosophical richness and psychological acuity of the stories in Stages of Sleep.
-Author and Essayist Philip Lawton

Nicholas Thurkettle’s writing is finely tuned — immediate, lyrical, and lean. His work has elements of various American short-story masters — Damon Runyon comes to mind. So does O. Henry. And particularly Ray Bradbury.
-Playwright Scott Charles

This is science fiction, but it is also so much more…A great story, full of adventure, action and event, but also brimming with philosophy and scientific theory that’s readily accessible…A moral tale with many twists and turns to reach a conclusion as surprising as it is inevitable. A compelling and very satisfying read.
-Author Stuart Aken

“A Sickness in Time is well thought out, well planned, and well executed. If you like science fiction which doesn’t just tell a story, but probes the difficult interface between scientific, social and ethical areas, this could be the book for you. I certainly really enjoyed it.
-Author Richard Abbott, writing for the New Podler Review of Books

Finally! A time travel book that effectively addresses the paradoxes of time travel, without sacrificing a well paced plot.
-Illustrator Shoshanah Marohn

4.5/5 stars at IndieReader.com!
SEEING BY MOONLIGHT is an intriguingly dark thriller, with enough twists and turns to keep the reader turning pages up until the rather surprising conclusion.

Kirkus Reviews:
“…the puzzle pieces click satisfyingly and unpredictably into place. The authors skillfully manage the multiple time frames and large cast, and never leave any plot threads dangling. The book’s science-fiction element drives the major plot twists, but the most engaging scenes are those in which readers learn the real relationships and histories between the characters. A complex thriller that offers new revelations up until the very end.”

5/5 Stars at Readers’ Favorite!
M.F. Thomas and Nicholas Thurkettle’s literary thriller, Seeing by Moonlight, is one of those books that are just about impossible to put down. When I wasn’t reading it, I found myself thinking about the story and looking forward to my next reading session. This writing team is extraordinarily gifted. Their style is smooth and lyrical, and their characters are finely drawn and quickly come alive in the reader’s mind…everything I look for in a work of fiction…a marvelous book indeed, and it’s very highly recommended.
