I just turned in my cut of Habitat. The producer may have a tweak or two, but I think the show is basically in broadcast form. Which means we just need to get our finished artwork in, and then count the days until launch on Saturday. This is going to be part of a major upgrade for Earbud, as we will be available on iTunes for the first time, with hopefully the whole catalog joining Habitat there. We also have enough content in different stages of development to get on a schedule of monthly new episodes for at least the next five months, and I’m hoping that schedule gets locked in.

Tomorrow I have to finish a re-write of the pre-show skit for my friend’s Taming of the Shrew production, and of course the re-write on that big action screenplay is still in-progress and looming. Plus, we’re in Week Two of the new novel project, and so far I’m running about 10-12% ahead of pace; which is good and may buy me time down the road for extra brainstorming/outlining of the tricky bits. I enjoy being back in the mix of drafting something big on a real schedule, especially since that schedule involves pay. Really, world, I’m ridiculously-easy to motivate.

Stages of Sleep has been delivered to the editor, and I’ve seen preliminary sketches on some of the artwork. In a couple of weeks it will be time to start serious strategizing the release of that one – my first solo book.

Kind of feels like I’m juggling bowling balls, but there is a satisfying mix in there of creating, refining, and releasing projects. Even if some of the longer shots I’m pursuing don’t pay off, my creative footprint in the world is going to get bigger this year and I am really proud of that.

Whether that brings any success or stability into my career path? Well, we’re working to hitch one to t’other there.
